October brought an end to the "Indian summer" we had been enjoying with the return of more normal (wet and cooler) weather. Despite the weather, we observed a number of species lingering later than usual. The big news was the report of Parkinson's Petrel off the southern Lane County coast, a first record for Oregon if approved by the records committee!
