Fall migration is always in full swing during September, and this year seemed to be particularly good with a "fallout" on Skinner Butte the morning of September 17. Hundreds of passerines were feeding on the butte after the late night/early morning rains. The wetter, cooler weather made the migration more obvious by forcing birds to stop during their nightly flights.
