A very mild and mostly dry period may account for some of the unusual reports below. Some of the abnormal trends of the last few years have repeated themselves again this year For example, Barn Swallows are showing up in December-January for the third consecutive year.

Washburn State Park; and Strawberry Hill is another small state wayside just south of the Lane/Lincoln County line.
