For the most part, October was quite mild and dry. The exceptions were a storm system that passed through mid-month and the clear, cold weather at the end of the month. The mild weather seemed to entice summer breeders to linger, as the report below shows. We thought the wintering species might arrive later than usual, but they showed up right on schedule.
