September 2001 Field Notes
|
This months sightings include a few very rare species not seen in Lane County more than a few times--Red-necked Stint, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, Phainopepla, and Black-and-White Warbler. Migration is always an exciting time as birds move from summer to winter quarters, with some getting lost in the process.
